Assuming when you changed the RF on the Properties page, you are also changing the settings to match on the RF box?

Plasma can cause a lot of interference. Is the RF indicator on the box flickering when you are not transmitting a signal? If so, that would indicate interference. Try some RF things with the Plasma off, see if that makes a difference.

Which RF unit do you have, the newer RFX6500 or the older RFX6000? The newer one is more stable against interference and the external antennna can be positioned, to get as far away from interference as possible.

I have re-read your notes several times and in general you seem to have it setup fine. IR pages are within the device and then set the device to RF.

It sounds to me to be interference or possibly a bad RF unit.
