Sorry to open this again, but I just got a Polk tuner and trying to make the RFX6500/TSU7000 work with it is driving me nuts!. Direct IR works perfectly, but when I try to use RF there is usually no response.
I have tried putting the blaster near the unit, but only have an occasional single command get thru. I have also tried to use the flashers, at various levels - again without much success. If I point the top of a flasher at the area just below the visible screw at the right of the display (or is this the IR sensor) I can get a number or two to register, but not consistently.
I have tried the TSU3000 file from here, as well as the file I learned when I was using Sky-Fi. Both of these are flawless with IR - neither one works worth a D**n in RF. BTW -- The original remote works very well.
First -- where is the sensor located on the front of the Polk? Then, assuming a flasher is necessary, what signal strength do you suggest? Any other clues would also be appreciated!
Thanks,
Craig
