Technically 64-bit would be better. However, not that many software and hardware vendors write drivers and software for 64-bit. The 32-bit software still works but it doesn't take advantage of the 64-bit opperating system or hardware. Before you decide to go 64-bit make sure there are drivers for all of your hardware.
