Hello all. I just got a TSU7500 and I love it. This forum and remotecentral in general played a big part in my decision making process and so far I am very impressed with the remote.

I am having some problems with buttons though. I searched the forum and found some good information on making buttons, but I could not find an answer to my problem. I also used the F1 feature in the pronto software.

I am using CS2 to attempt to make some semi-transparent buttons. I could not seem to pull it off, so I decided to copy a portion of my background (an image), fade the copied image and place it over the background for a semi-transparent effect. The problem is that the faded button comes out looking washed out and generally lame (parallel lines across it also).

Can anyone head me in the right direction? I guess this is a fairly general question, but I really seem to be stalled out. I am fairly comfortable in CS so I think its probably a simple problem that I am overlooking.

thanks
