I know this is an old thread, but in case someone reads it in the future. Snapstream, who sells BeyondTV, also has an IR remote available. It is called the Firelfy Mini, an it is actually less expensive as well.

My TSU 3500 seems to be learning the codes for it as well with the exception of the continual hold of a button does not work. (Actually I can make it work, but then the inividual press of the buttons response slowes down to a crawl).

Just an FYI for anyone who has built an HTPC with Snapstreams BeyondTV. P.S. I think the Firefly Mini also works with MCE and Myth, but you might check.
