A3-05 Can I broadcast IR and RF at the same time?
This is not currently possible. A device may be configured to infrared OR radio frequency transmission to the RF extender, which will then rebroadcast the commands as infrared.
If you need to use both, try creating three new devices. In the first device have just that component’s commands, configured to broadcast IR. The second device should duplicate the first, however configure it to instead broadcast RF. In the third create your user interface and link each button to the same command under both the first AND second device. This would essentially create a macro that sends the commands twice: once as IR and once as RF. But note that your device may sense this as TWO commands and buttons will no longer repeat (such as for volume up)– so test before implementing this!

I GUESS THIS IS WHAT YOU MEAN, BUT IN THIS INSTANCE WHAT NEGATIVE EFFECTS COULD IT HAVE? I DID NOT ENTIRELY UNDERSTAND THAT POINT. CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO CLARIFY? THANK YOU
