I am canny enough not to just test codes blindly! I only looked for holes in the existing sequences of good commands.
On the "Toshiba 23HL85 TV" thread the Robman kindly gave a full list, but for another TV. This shows that certain command ranges are definitely to be left well alone.
And yes as you say, the IR format is always in the 900A 006D 0000 0001 40BF xxxx format.
Such a shame Tosh get this simple thing so wrong. Otherwise, an awesome piece of kit.
