To load the memory card you need to go to one of the admin screens, the lower right arrow that flips the screen. I do not remember which screen. Try the EPG or Remote screens and flip them. Then you can access the screen to load the memory card. I have always used the software, I think that is how it was designed. Go to the phillips website and download the manual and operating guide. The ipronto can take you there too. They are more in depth and should be able to help you. Also, the help in the PC software may have some answers.
