I just purchased an iPronto. I have the following questions?

1. Does the remote only learn. Are there no codes built in?
2. Is the only way to upload from the edit software through a wireless connection or can I do it through a memory card?
3. My router shows the remote conecting, but requesting or getting assigned a DHCP? I have tried to use fixed, but that doesn't seem to work either? Any ideas?
4. If I go with learning, is there a better instruction book somewhere? The supplied manual is worthless.
