Unfortunately, no one was able to help me out with my question (neither on other forums) so i bought the IRRF7243 X-10 receiver. Guess what, it didn't work because appearantly the IR commands are different from the RF commands used to control X-10 appliances. Should have taken the x-10 support guy's "I don't know" as "will not work". Looking into the pronto forum, I have found several references by a.o. dave Houston to a bit of software developped by him called CodeGen to generate x-10 commands that will do the trick with respect to my above problem. According to these messages, the issue was known already back in 2003. Problem now is that this piece of software is no-where to be found as the only site having it (
www.mbx-usa.com) is offline. Does anyone have this software stored on an old HD somewhere? Would help me out a lot.
