All I can say is I had tried and tried to learn the PIP for my Rca UTV and then I tried this:

I held down the PIP button on the remote before I pressed the button I wanted to learn it to on the Neo,
and it worked. I also thought I'd never learn the "Disc" button on my Technics 5 cd changer. But after about 20 straight tries, it learned it.

I have had better luck learning IR codes using the Original remote then my Cinema7 or MX-1000. Well I don't know if this helps you any, keep tring....
