I am using a mac to download but this may also help you, the first time I download to the proto neo edit reports all is ok, the neo reboots and says corrupted file..., I then try to download again, it fails and gives me a message to reset just after hitting o.k., I hit o.k. and press the reset button under the battery cover asap, I then get the progress bar showing it is downloading, after this all is o.k. I find the same works for uploading however it is usually more difficult. I hope this help you as it took me a while to figure this out!
