I'm trying to figure out how to back copies of my device xml's before attempting to mess with them...when I hit the "copy global device xml locally" link under the advanced section, I get a rather confusing message about overwritting my device characterization if I click the yes button. Assuming this is just a generic message worded incorrectly for what I'm trying to do, I proceeded to hit Yes...then I get an error message saying there is no characterization for that device and no changes are made.

What's going on? All I'm trying to do is save a copy of the xml text locally. Why is it so difficult? Should I just display the xml and copy & paste it into notepad?
