I haven't had many issues with my 720 aside from not being able to design custom activity icons, but i didn't expect that much from a sub-$200 remote.

This thread has served as a great resource for me in tweeking my remote by others' experiences.

I would love to bring in a Nevo SL, and would do so in a heartbeat, but from what I can tell it doesn't support Mac OS nor iTunes media (and I also can't justify spending that much on an universal right now after plunking down thousands on my 1080p panel). If it ever supports the Mac system I would consider it.
