Like Rehaz1 said, you have to press Play or Replay to stop the FF function. My FF function is not a sequence and is mapped to my 680 Skip (>>|) key. My Replay function is a sequence (Play+Replay as explained above) and is mapped to my 680 Replay (|<<) key.
Note: The SA8300HD does NOT have a 30 sec skip and even if it did, I would still use the more convenient FF/Replay method.
