Ok, programming the MX500 is moving right along, but now having probs with "System Off". I'd like it to able to always turn everything off.

It looks like neither my Philips DirectTivo and Toshiba DST3000 have discrete on/off's.

One workaround for the Tivo is Menu, pause 3sec, page down, select, pause for a long time. This will always "standby" the Tivo, but the pauses are difficult to manage.

I am completely stuck on a way to always turn the DST3000 off. Anyone figured out a workaround?

I promised my wife that this was possible to justify the cost of the MX500.....
