PS1,

Great find! This is the link for all Yamaha RS-232, IR codes, and Extended IR codes for all of their electronic equipment.

[Link: yamaha.com]

Yamaha should be rewarded for making this information easy to find.

I assume that the standard IR codes are what is on the remotes and the extended IR codes are the other commands that the units respond to including discrete codes that are not on the OEM remote.

A little more information may be useful. What they call the Custom Code is the device code in hex. The data code is the command or function code. The Yamaha equipment that I have decoded all uses the NEC1 protocol. So the translation of PS1's link is the following into decimal:

DPX-I Extended IR Codes

NEC1:209

192 POWER OFF
193 POWER ON
194 POWER ON/OFF
195 AUTO

201 PATTERN ON/OFF

233 9
234 ASPECT

236 ASPECT ZOOM

If Kantack1 or anyone else needs some help in creating Pronto hex from this or Advanced Codes/EFC's for OFA remotes I will be glad to provide more detailed instructions.
