Actually (ssshhhhhh!), all emitters were installed inside the pieces of equipment.

Though I don't recommend it for the faint-at-heart as some devices require you to, shall we say, be creative and re-engineer the placement of the IR eye to facilitate IR flasher attachment, it is a much nicer looking install.

And equipment control and automation also becomes more reliable as you don't have to worry about the IR emitters falling off from the heat. A bad thing when you consider the install is 135 miles away.
