We got mountains, but the only ones with snow are in the Eastern States (New South Wales & Victoria). Highest is Mt Kosciusko at 2228m above sea level (part of the Snowy Mountain range). Never been to the snow myself, but popular over east, don't know how long the snow season is though.
Closest we get to snow on the West Coast is a very occasional hail storm, and the only skiing we do here is water.
