Actually this can be done however like Eric said there is nothing sold on the market to do it. Who makes the remote for the fan? I have a Harbour Breeze RF remote for the fan that I control with my IR pronto device. I had to make an IR2RF converter to do this. It has an IR receiver to accept the input from the pronto and transmitts the command to the fan via RF. The cost of buying the parts is about $30.00. Checkout [Link: laser.com] for more info.
