Yes, it will work. I just completed an installation using the customers equipment behind a glass door in a wood cabinet. The rf receiver was set on top of the cabinet and a IR emitter( that was supplied in the package along with batteries too) was placed at the top INSIDE of the cabinet facing down. This covered controlling all of the equipment in the cabinet with the door shut. The emitter was on a 3' cord that plugs into the back of the receiver. I use a A/V producer in my own home with a TAKE Control as well. My wife always uses the A/v producer. I like them both.-jay
