I too thought I had tried all angles for learning off the RM-AV2000 (for some discrete codes), but I did eventually find one that worked. Pointing downwards, at an angle, nose touching the T2. Only a very, very small window where the T2 actually saw the signal. But it worked. No problems from my other remotes though.
