Don't think you need to worry. Under daylight conditions, the white and blue will not seem as bright. Try it at night time, and you will find that the colors very closely resemble the pictures in the review.
Mine came with a default config as well, I assume as an example. Not sure if it contained any IR/RF codes, I wiped it out without a thought. I suppose you could have downloaded the default config into the software, and checked it out.
