The Krell uses a standard 3.5mm jack and has a 12v input and output trigger. By using a VPS-1 with the IR-6 you can detect the "on" status of your KAV250 and control whether or not to send an IR signal to a the source unit that would trigger the amp to on. Neither the IR-6 or the VPS-1 have a 12V output to trigger the Krell to "on" this must come from another source. If you do not have another source to control the 12V trigger then there are third party options Niles makes some great products that would do the job. E-mail me and I will work with you to get you what you need to integrate with your system.
