Just tried "cracking one open" and it was easier than I thought. All I did was pop the grey bezel off of the front with a little flat head screw driver. Slide the emitter in next to the receiveing eye. Pop the cover back on and it works.
ONE MORE EMITTER OFF THE LIST... well sort of!
