Are you turning on and off the satellite (I assume you are with the DVD).
I found as long as you power on the satellite first, the Anthem will detect it, if you switch the anthem, then power on an HDMI device it seems to get lost.
At least I am pretty sure that is what we found when setting up the clients unit we had to deal with (I don't sell them either)
