Bill, It does output VGA. It does output progressive scan and as far as the resolution I'm not sure but I'm sure my partner can help you. As a side note, I just installed my 3rd DTC 100 and It is the best picture I've ever seen. This one we hooked up to the VGA output port on the DSS with an RGB breakout cable cable directly to a JVC/Huges DLP projector. Our custom sales guy can probably answer your resolution question and any other tech questions you might have about that piece.
