I want to have 2 Directv receivers in a media closet, out of the way. But, I also want to control them both via a pronto running through an IR repeater system. I'm tempted by the Sony receivers, but if I connect them up this way then pressing a remote button will affect both receivers.

Has anyone worked out a way around this.

I dont really want to use the RF remotes or buy receivers from 2 manufacturers unless I have to. The Sony manuals mention a 3 digit security code which could be used to target individual receivers but Sony said this only worked when using the remotes in RF mode.

Help please!
