I popped $8500 for the 80 inch Mitsubishi rear projection TV. It’s an awesome piece of work. I orignially purchased a 1985 vintage 57” front projection Mistubishi when TV’s of this size were first watchable. I’ve had it until late last year and swore I would not get rid of it until something truly better came out. This 80 incher is it. It gives me better pictures on standard TV. Its convergence is perfect and it is adjustable almost to the pixel level. I don’t get much in the way of true HDTV broadcasting (PBS only), and did not buy the tuner for it. But it is great for standard TV, S video and DVD. HDTV is ready even without over the air broadcasts.
