I have to disagree with Joe. I own an HD rear projection set and the biggest value is the ability to improve movie viewing with line-doubling of NTSC and DTV signals. You also can enjoy the incredible difference in picture quality (480p) provided by a progressive scan DVD player. Only an HD monitor is capable of the resolution and colors required to reproduce the film experience on a TV. By the way, I also own the RCA DTC-100: the future of HDTV looks fantastic!
