I'm in the marketplace for DSS, but in the meantime, am watching regular cable TV (not digital cable). My condo is only a couple of years old, and I've always had a reception problem with any cable channel over 70. These channels show heavy interference and are unwatchable. My cable company has looked at the problem, and their tech said that my signal at the wall measured a 0.5 on channel 70 (not sure what units this measures). I have separate cables running to my living room (where the problem is) and bedroom. He did the same thing in the bedroom and said that channel 70 there was perfect, measuring a 12. He then changed out everything at the cable box on the street and said that it was all fine there. The problem is between the street and my living room, so they're not obligated to fix it.

My question is if anyone has some ideas of what could be causing the problem. I've tried using Monster cable to shield out any RF interference, but it didn't make much of a difference. If something has damaged the cable line inside my attic, I would've guessed that I would have problems consistently with lower channels (which I don't). Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
