I have a first generation Sony satellite receiver - I think its an SAS A5 - that is capable of remote control via either infrared or rf. Unfortunately, it will only operate via one mode or the other not both. Does anyone know if there is a firmware or software upgrade available for this unit that would allow both IR and RF operation? I want to be able to control it with my new Sony universal remote when I'm in the same room as the receiver but I need to leave it in RF mode to be able to control it from another floor of my house.
