I switched from Directv and cable to just regular old cable last Summer. I kind of did it out of necessity as my wife was temporarily disabled and she could not watch some of her shows from the upstairs bedroom. I have had DSS since its inception and now I am lost. I want to get it back, but also want to do it in an affordable manner. (Just upgraded the home theater) I will keep basic cable for network programming. (i have to- thanks uncle sam!) I still have my old receiver but know the card will need to be replaced at a cost. Not sure how much yet. I have four TVS. Two on main floor and two in basement where the home theater is. I want to get a Dolby Digital receiver for that location. What is the best thing to do here? Put a recever on each floor and split off of it? I hate to run more cable and as mentioned before I already have cable going to each TV. Are diplexers the answer. What about using second room kits (RF remote extenders). I have one already. Anyone have a fix?
