I remember about a year ago when I asked them about Dolby Digital. The GI box has the DD logo on it, but no output for it (it's an option, same as S-video)

Their answer was: we don't supply it, but Radio Shack sells an adapter with two RCA plugs on one side and DD coming out the other. And, of course, he had no clue if thay are actually transmitting DD.

It's hopeless. Unfortunately, I can't get satellite where I live, it's an apartment and no part of it faces South. So I'm stuck with the digital cable until I move.

And before anyone asks why did I get the digital cable in the first place: for the premium channels, it has a lot more. There's still nothing to see, but that's another topic :-)
