I got my final bill through yesterday, with the same message telling me all the equipment was now mine. (Which was what I was hoping for when I signed up for Voom in the first place).
Cheapest OTA HD receivers I have seen have been around $200. Voom kindly gave me two receivers, a satellite dish, an 8' Channelmaster antenna and several runs of RG6, with everything installed for $1. Seems to me that if I were to have everything removed by others and sent Voom a bill, I would have difficulty billing Voom for more than the dollar that I initially paid.
To anyone thinking of buying a Voom box through Ebay or similar, make sure the box has been activated, and that the current owner did not discontinue service prior to Voom closing it's doors, since they were sending kill signals which also disabled OTA reception.
I'm still getting OTA HD programming using the receivers, although there is no programme guide available. (I know some people are working on resolving that issue!).
