The CBC in Toronto (English Television) currently has one remote truck which is fully HD capable. This is the truck which would be used for hockey remotes out of the ACC. A feed from this truck would be fed back to a HD ready Presentation Studio (no studio floor space or cameras, just audio board and image mixer) situated in the Toronto Broadcast Centre where the HD hockey game would have com'ls & promos and other graphic elements added to it. The feed from this HD Presentation Studio is then fed to the Network Operations Centre where regional com'ls, CBC Logo, etc. are added and the feed is then sent to the Toronto CBLT-DT (CN Tower) and the Montreal CBMT-DT (currently on top of Society Radio Canada building) transmitters. Taps are taken from these transmitter feeds for Rogers cable in Toronto and Bell Expressvue.
There are some edit suites in Toronto capable of HD Post Production editing but these facilities at this time are minimal.

CBC Montreal has one full HD capable Production Studio for their French operations.

So Hockey will be in HD if the CBC truck from Toronto can get to it or if CBC Sports can hire a contractor who has one. If there are multiple games aired on the same night you would see one game in HD and the secondary game in SD.

There will be no OTA digital sub channels broadcast from the CBC....
