Ok, I'm looking for a replacement remote or universal remote. The problem is that my dvd player seems to be incapadable with any and all universal remotes that I've found thus far. It's a Portland DVD player. I've tried walmart, target, kmart, radioshack.....none of them have a remote that is compadible with my DVD player.

Yeah, I could get a different DVD player....but I don't want to go that route if I don't have to. I've tried to find the company online...and can't. I am thinking they may be out of business, but I don't know if that is the case or not.

Does anyone else out there have one of theese DVD players? (btw....my former best friend broke the remote.....or should I say his fat assed wife did when she sat on it).

It's driving me nuts that I can't find a remote that will work for this DVD player.

Any suggestions? something other than "go buy a new dvd player". please........
