I am selling it because I purchased a Philips Pronto instead. The TC1000 is a very good remote, except that I needed something that was more customizable. You could try to get by with a cheaper remote, but it depends on the equipment that you have to control. I tried a One For All Home Producer 8, but it didn't work that well.
