I recently found this site that offers free iPods and figured it was a scam. However, a friend of mine completed all of the requirements and actually received one in the mail, so I guess it really does work. I even found this article that proves the validity of the deal:

So here's how it works: you sign up through this link

and then sign up for one of the offers available... yes, you have to give your credit card number and all that type of stuff, but in about a week you can cancel it and not be charged one cent. So after you sign up for the offer just check back every day under the "check status" link until it says that you have completed your requirements. After this, call the company whose offer you signed up with to cancel your order, or cancel online if the option is available. Get 5 people to do the same through your personal link in the "refer friends" section, and the iPod is yours!
