Try it! I bet this will help a lot! When you say you have an A/C filter, I guess you mean an X-10 in line filter? If so, yes, put it inline with your surge protrctor.
As per Roberts previous post, I agree, a amplifier/coupler “Would be the best piece of X-10 you could own!”
