Hi guys,

Finally I got the stuff from X10 today. Wow, the Hawk Eye is kinda small. Now I regret I only bought one. Roland, you're right about exiting the house at night. In a sense it doesn't bother me that much since this COMING HOME macro will only last for 8 minutes. I have my room turned on at dusk every night. My parents they normally keep their lights off because it'd be waste of money if they are not there. The advantage of having a coming home macro is that it will give us 8 minutes of lights and everything will be off (make my parents happy). Then they can decide which light to come on.

I included the modifications that Roland made to the DUSK/DAWN situations for the coming home macro, and so far no problem found. I even changed my Theater Macros so they will work after midnight. When a motion has detected something, it will turn on the lights (macro C1) as well as turn on B2 (dummy code). This way when the Hawk Eye sends an OFF code to C1, C1 will check and make sure B2 is ON before it turns off the lights.

I also set the chime module to C1 so it will chime whenever there is something moving in the garage.

Now, if I leave home at night, the lights will turn on for 8 minutes will then off. If I bought more than one Hawk Eye, then I could put it in the laundry room just like what Roland described, but I'll have to wait for the 2nd Hawk Eye to come in.

P.S. I could have turned on the Dusk Control in the Hawk Eye but my garage is kinda dark, so I'd rather prefer to do the IF..THEN..ELSE in Commander X or the lights will come on throughout the day. Also, this will make sure the chime module works 24 hrs.

Simon
