That may help but the amplifier/coupler is a lot more $ then the filter is. If you are wanting to improve the overall performance of the X-10, a coupler with amplification is the way. If the $ is not a factor, get the coupler. If $ is a factor, try the filter. You wouldn't be wasting your $ if you purchased the amplifier/coupler but may with the filter!
