Al, this is the perfect forum for such topics. Nobody says it has to be questions only.

A standard appliance module is perfect for the coffee maker. I recommend a manual X-10 trigger over a timer, in case you forget to set it up the night before. However, the maker is still manually defeatable; just turn it off, and it will ignore the timed command.

X-10 wall switches install just like standard switches, except some have wires like some dimmers do. Plus, some require neutral connections, and three-way setups can be tricky. We can help here.
