Are those in wall devices easy to install, or should I hire an electrician?

I also recently bought a coffee maker that doesn't have an electronic clock/timer so I would have to manually turn it on everymorning. How could X-10 help automate?

Can't really do a search on cool new things to do with X-10. That wouldn't be a bad idea, Daniel should ad a section detailing what functions people are achiving with X-10.
