surffish, you're going to have a little problem. It's with the IR543 as it can only control device numbers 1-4 at the same time without having to physically slide a switch. Sorry. The only way around this is if you are willing to put a couple of your different zones on the same device code.
Example: if you designate say zones 1 & 2 to device code #1 and zones 3 & 4 to device code #2. Now your IR543 is only controlling 4 devices at the same time. Again, if I'm wrong or as nother member on the forum knows a better way, they help.
The IR543 has 4 device buttons at the top, #'s 1-4. These 4 buttons also can control another 4 devices, #'s 5-8 but a little slide switch has to be switched first. So while your AV-3000 has the capability to control at least 12 devices at a time, you're goining to be limited to 4 at a time from the IR543.
