Set up an Omni serial port in PROLINK mode. Then define some MESSAGES in the omni, such as "kit light on" for kitchen light on (I think each omni message is limited to 15 characters). Program your RTI system to send "kit light on" out the port connected to the omni when a button is pressed on the remote. Program the omni to turn on the kitchen light when that message is received.

I'm not sure if the omni wants a terminator or not, such as a carriage return. But, this should be easy to determine.
