1: it doesn't take long to read the manual. The manual is very easy to understand.
2: One pronto replaced 11 remotes in my house, and made my home theater setup in the living room and bedroom user friendly for everyone.
3: The fact that there is so much info including complete and partial CCFs is why the Pronto is your best bet for a customizable remote.

It make take you a while to get the Pronto optimized for yourself, but it won't seem like work once you realize how useful it all was.
