HomeTheater magazine wrote a very favorable article on the Energy Take 5 system. This months issue favored the Energy Take 5 system over the Cambridge Soundworks Sub/Sat system. If you buy the Take 5 system, buy the ES8 ($300) or ES10 ($?) subwoofer to go along with it as the Take 5 speakers (mains, center, and rears) system will not give you the low end response that most people are looking for. The Energy ES8 is often used by Home Theater magazine when evaluating other equipment. Some of the subs it is compared with cost two to three times as much as an ES8. It is a responsive subwoofer that is great on music as well as movies. It performs well in the upper and mid low ranges. It will not give you the earth shaking lows that a 15" sub will give you but a 15" sub will not give you the response of an 8" sub.

Other speaker systems you may want to look at are:
NHT Super Zeros with Super Center (Lowest Cost)
NHT Super Ones with Super Center (More than Zeros)
NHT Super Twos with Super Center (More than Ones)
Paradigm System One

Use a sub with all of the above satelite systems.

I have the following speaker system from Energy Loudspeaker.
Mains: C2
Center: CC2
Rears: Pro 1.5
Sub: ES8

Hope this helped.
