Tough choices. Many great products, many great deals. Try this on for size:

Yamaha RXV (as previously mentioned. Check out www.audioreview.com for ratings on their line). RXV795 can be had around $450, if memory serves.

Klipsch Quintets (energys are more musical for CD audio, but for HT, the Klipsch are the way to go), price without SW is about $375. IMHO, to get better performance, you need to push the 4-digit range. One of the best price/performance ratios out there at this time.
