The avp8000 is the top Denon (now 8500). I have super Infinity class A audiophile speakers that have built in 150 watt subs but are a bit weak compared to my main sub(a 280 watt advent). I am using my old fronts (large Mirages) for surround and I have the adcom 7000 for the Amp. My center is a Parasound. I am seriously thinking about putting my sub back inline with the fronts as I got a lot more depth with music when it was that way before I had a sub out on the Pre.
